Service because we care

“Take care of brothers and sisters who are weaker … the elderly, the sick, the hungry, the homeless and strangers, because we will be judged on this”

Pope Francis

Urheim Charity Shop

Jagersbosch welcomes any Volunteers, men as well as women, who are willing to assist in operating the Urheim Charity Shop. Of course we rely heavily upon people nobly sacrificing their time and energy to help us take care of the vulnerable people in our community. All you need is a genuine as well as loving concern for the well-being of the weaker members of our community.

Understandbly the Urheim Charity Shop is an important source of income for Jagersbosch. It operates from one of the first buildings in Stilbaai and is run solely by volunteers. The shop is situated next to the main building and tells a beautiful story of community support and of how one hand washes the other. Urheim Charity Shop sells second-hand clothes as well as other small household items at affordable prices. High value items are often advertised on facebook and sold that way.

Products are regularly donated by, as well as sold to persons living as far away as Worcester, Bellville, Ashton and Mossel Bay. Residents from Albertinia frequently visit the shop.

To our surprise we find that younger people, especially students, love to visit and buy clothes at this shop.

We thank the residents of Stilbaai for their support. Please don’t throw saleable clothes and small household items away – rather donate them to the Urheim Charity Shop.

We also thank every volunteer sacrificing his or her time to keep the shop running. Without your kind help, in short, we will not be able to provide this service. Nor will we be able to raise some extra funds to sustain our other services in this way.
